Today’s Gold Nugget: ARISE

I came across this song that really caught my attention and moved me deeply. It’s called “Can’t take that away” written in 2000 by Mariah Carey and Diane Warren. It speaks of inner strength, and not allowing others to tear away your dreams or dignity.

Her official video features personal stories of five fans sharing the pain and emotional abuse they endured and how this song inspired them.

Hopefully it will inspire and bless you too. Many of us can relate to this at some point of our lives, because there are always bullies, insecure, mean, angry and jealous people who don’t want to see you succeed or follow your dreams. They will always try to pull you down and mock you. The story of Joseph is a great example of this (Genesis 37 and 39).

Let’s face it, the enemy won’t play dead just because you have a desire, a dream or an aspiration. He will work through others to discourage you and make you feel less than you are, inadequate.

If this is the case, don’t let them. Don’t allow a low self-esteem mindset to creep in. Don’t allow the present circumstances to define who or what you are. You are beautiful and strong 🙂 Keep the faith, keep the love, keep your peace and keep your eyes on Jesus. Like she sings, Certainly the Lord will guide me where I need to go”.

Remember, He has good plans for you and a bright future. The best is yet to come…

“Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the people;
but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you”
Isaiah 60:1-2

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of
this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”
Colossians 1:27

So, let your light shine brightly….
