Good Morning,
For Today’s Gold Nugget, I came across this image and powerful story about negativity and wanted to share it with you.
“The Story of the Eagle and the Crow”
The only bird that will dare peck at an eagle is the crow. The crow sits on the eagles back and bites his neck. The eagle does not respond or fight with the crow. It simply opens up its wings and begins to rise higher and higher in the sky.
The higher the eagle flies, the harder it is for the crow to breathe, and then, due to a lack of oxygen, the crow falls away and the eagle is free.
What’s the moral of the story? Stop wasting your time fighting with the CROWS of LIFE!
The crow represents all the challenges of LIFE! The crow represents so many things in your life. For example, some negative people that should not be in your life… critics… opinions… distractions… all the annoyances of life. Everything that is pecking at you, mocking you, prodding at you, disturbing you, and challenging you.
You can choose to fight everything, wasting your precious energy and getting nowhere, or you can SOAR HIGHER like the eagle and watch all your challenges fade away.
When people criticize you: GO HIGHER!
When life challenges you: GO HIGHER!
When there seems to be endless problems pecking at you: GO HIGHER!
You go higher by WORKING ON YOU and GETTING BETTER
You go higher by LEARNING MORE, so you can BE MORE
You go higher by WORKING HARDER and SMARTER so you can RESPOND BETTER
Then, when the “crows of life” appear, they won’t stay around for long, because they will not be able to BREATHE at your level! Most challenges disappear or are easy to deal with when you GO HIGHER!
Problems can only disturb you when you’re not good enough to handle them. When you improve, your life improves. When you improve, your response to every challenge life throws at you, is strong. You are strong!
So, when life challenges you today, be like the eagle: Go Higher!
Keep Waiting on the Lord – Keep Pushing Forward – Keep Learning – Keep Doing!
Now, search yourself and look at what eats at you, what frustrates you the most, what makes you feel less than, or what ruffles your feathers?
Here are some of God’s Promises to help renew your mind and Go Higher!:
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with
wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint”

toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”

O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You
are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the
rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be
burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of
Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you;
therefore, I will give men for you, and people for your life. Fear not, for I am with you”
