Today’s Gold Nugget: MATURITY
Our character is cultivated through diligent practices and constant commitment to living honestly before men and God. We are called to continual progress, moving from one level of glory to another, and avoiding stagnation or unfruitfulness. In other words, we should always grow and mature. Our words and actions control our level of success.
In this article, I desire to focus on eight behaviors that can profoundly affect the welfare of your relationships and increase your sense of peace and joy.
8 Behaviors Successful People Will Never Do:
-
No more complaining. It doesn’t fix things. Instead, focus on finding solutions and making things better.
-
Skip the blame game. Taking responsibility for your actions is key. It’s how you learn and grow even when things get tough.
-
Stay calm, and skip the argument. Arguments rarely lead to good stuff. Stay calm, talk it out, and find some common ground instead.
-
Stay humble. Skip bragging. You don’t need to show off. Your actions speak volumes and staying humble earns respect.
-
Calm conversations, no yelling. Yelling doesn’t solve problems. Speak calmly to be heard and understood.
-
Learn to listen and talk later. Successful people listen more than they talk. Understanding comes before sharing your thoughts.
-
Be kind and skip judging. Instead of judging, put yourself in someone else’s shoes. It builds empathy and better relationships.
-
Stick to the truth, skip the lies. Honesty builds trust even when it’s tough. It is the best way to go.
Which of these behaviors require the most of your attention? I encourage you to start developing new habits to grow and mature in them. Work it daily and always refer to this list for advancement and prosperity.
If you meditate and focus on these eight behaviors, understand, and practice them, you belong to the 0.01% who consistently complete what they begin. And as you concentrate on moving forward on what you want to attract, watch the transformation it brings to your life!
Meditate on these truths as they renew your mind:
“Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless
and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and
perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world”
Philippians 2:14-15
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things
done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad”
II Corinthians 5:10
“For every person will have to bear with patience his own burden
of faults and shortcomings for which he alone is responsible”
Galatians 6:5
“But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient”
2 Timothy 2:23-24
“It is an honor for a man to keep away from strife by handling
situations with thoughtful foresight, But any fool will start
a quarrel without regard for the consequences”
Proverbs 20:3
“By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches and honor and life”
Proverbs 22:4
“He who answers a matter before he hears it,
It is folly and shame to him”
Proverbs 18:13
“He who is slow to anger has great understanding and profits from his self-control,
but he who is quick-tempered exposes and exalts his foolishness for all to see”
Proverbs 14:29
“Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted compassionate, understanding, forgiving one another readily and freely, just as God in Christ also forgave you”
Ephesians 4:32
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will
be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you”
Matthew 7:1-2
“Buy the truth, and do not sell it,
also wisdom and instruction and understanding”
Proverbs 23:23
“For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth”
2 Corinthians 13:8
“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me”
John 8:44-45
“So then, my dear ones, just as you have always obeyed my instructions with enthusiasm, not only in my presence but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation that is, cultivate it, bring it to full effect, actively pursue spiritual maturity with awe-inspired fear and trembling using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ”
Philippians 2:12
